Jinki is seen wearing the symbol for the chalice (an upside-down triangle), also widely referred to as the representation of the female womb, the uterus. Below the chalice we see his own phallic glory, the Dubulge, struggling to be freed from its confinement. This is a portrayal of smothered sexuality in Korean culture and the agony of lust. If you’re in an Art History class, you’ll probably be studying this piece in the near future.
